Third Time's a "Mother F*k'n" Charm

"What experiences have you had that may have supported or even contradicted the saying 'Third Time's a Charm'?" A question that I must ask myself, while in good company of myself. "Has this year's deep reflection been helpful thus far as we come into closing?" Is another question that I must ask myself.

As many can atest for taking any form of risks, life will prove to you a great deal of charm somewhere down the line in the most unexpected ways. Whether that be truly learning love, chasing a long-awaited vision/ dream or even just saying "F" it, it's about that time to push fear aside and make a risky decision on whatever experience. Some would usually say how the third attempt often brings a new heightened sense of clarity. One that helps deepen with both understanding and innerstanding of what truly matters to oneself. Any success story will tell you that the journey forward have taken more than a few tries with downfalls leaving a bunch of scrapes, bruises and scars. Some may even get into details about how their wheel of focus had steered them into a multitude of directions during their first and second attempts, causing things to not go according to plan.

Take Visual Merchandising for example: from the naked eye the idea of playing dress up with huge dolls was rather intriguing and a way for me to creatively color without using crayons and paper. From dressing up cabbage patch babies, to the many Barbie looks, down to styling mannequins and live mannequins (fashion models) I'll say these dolls come in many different forms, like literally. Unfortunately the ugly truth behind pursuing this visual idea with merchandise isn't all about playing dress up, it's more like learning people and how they may think when it's that time for shopping. It also entails understanding the seasons and it's forecast, knowing numbers and how to play on a large scale. Learning the ropes from every nooks & crannies within my personal experiences, resilience came easy through time with loads of strength that was forced to be built. Something like a tough cookie who can also be pretty hard on herself but as much as I've tried, the excuses just never sat well. I had to accept the balance of being tough and embrace compassion at the same time. All in all these experiences has supported my choices which has helped me with making better approaches toward setbacks and actually determine to be more realistic with myself.

Now I'm certain you've heard of the saying, "there is a time and place for everything" and "everything happens in Divine Timing". So when balancing this beam of optimism and ease, it can remind you that every challenge we face is considered a test and 9 times out of 10 it is usually temporary before any quote on quote, "luck" happens. So my question to you is, "How are you flexing your behaviors and mindset with any challenges? How are you bouncing back? And are you actually learning from the situations that you encounter?" It may sound like I'm asking too much or possibly being noisy, but I'm kind of curious to know if you found your lucky charm.

And until next time, One Love 🖤
